Vaud Villities Fifty Plus Show Camp

CEA-R members, consider getting involved in a healthful, anti-aging experience this summer.

Vaud-Villities offers a Fifty Plus Show Camp that involves men and women in 30 hours of the following learning activities: singing, dancing, scenery design & construction, costumes and theatrical make-up, followed by a performance for family and friends. These activities provide both physical and mental exercise that promise to aid in self-efficacy, the loss of which leads to stress and hardship as we age.

No prior experience or talent required, just the will to stay active and have fun.

Where?  Northland Performing Arts Center, formerly the J. C. Penney building,

               1865 Morse Rd.

When?   Classes:  Mon. thru Fri.,  2nd week of  June, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Dress rehearsal and Performance on Saturday

Tuition? $125 for the 6 days.  Lunches included.

How to enroll? Contact CEA-R member Delena Doan at 614-755-4371 or  email delenadoan@wowway.com.

Bridge lessons

Updated 9/23/2009

Note: Pass on to a friend if you are not interested or already play.

The game of bridge involves communication skills, card playing skills, and how to be a good partner.

I would like to spend a few weeks and introduce you to the basic priciples of how the game is played.

Come alone or bring a friend or friends.

We will have free sessions on Tuesday evenings at seven PM. and Wednesday afternoons at Noon,
starting September 15h and 16th at the Aloha bridge club, 1367 Community Park Drive, 43229.

I will answer all your questions at the first session.

Hope to see you
Gene

a retired teacher, a gold life master at bridge, a certified acbl director, and a club manager
He is willing to teach any other time that enough interest for a class exists.
So get some teacher friends together and call him for time and place.

Come join us, enjoy this game, and make some new friends. Singles are welcome and the teaching area is smoke free.  New partnerships formed as needed until you both are comfortable.  We will have you playing and enjoying it the first session, but it may take a little longer to master the game. Don't know how to play, we will teach you the right techniques. We will help you modernize your knowledge, and improve your skills.  Maybe even help you recognize what you are missing.

The game is challenging and is not easily mastered, the people are pleasant and sociable, and enjoyment is possible without perfection or instant success.

This game and the club that I have managed for the past thirty plus years has been and still is mostly a hobby.

Also, we have games (day and evening) for all levels of play.

Contacts for preregistration or further information. Email to  aloha@beol.net, or phone 614-890-1459 or 614-436-4512 and leave your email. (spell it)
